Easy Chocolate Cake: Cream Decorating

There comes a time in everyone’s life when you urgently need to cook something fast. Whether it’s a party or simply a dinner with your friends, or even a special romantic dinner, we bet you needed at some point to have a dessert ready in no time. The best solution is to look for an easy chocolate cake recipe and to follow it closely. This is a special recipe that will certainly save the day, or the party, or the dinner!

For this easy chocolate cake you will need:

  • 10 mls vanilla extract
  • 5 mls baking powder
  • 360 mls whole milk
  • 480 mls all-purpose flour
  • 161 mls granulated sugar
  • 2 mls salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 5 mls baking soda
  • 120 mls unsweetened cocoa
  • 161 mls dark brown sugar
  • 180 mls butter
  • Frosting

First of all, you will need to make a batter. Remember to preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then, take the cake pans (preferably 8-inch ones) and coat them with softened butter. Dust them with flour and tap out any excess. Leave them aside and start making the batter. Set the mixer at a low speed and mix the flour with the rest of the ingredients. Mix for 3 minutes at medium speed.

Split the batter equally in the pans and make sure it’s evenly spread. Place the pans on the middle rack of the oven until you see that the tops spring back when you touch them. Take them out of the oven and let them cool down for 10 minutes. Use gently a knife and loosen the cake from the pan sides. Then invert them in order to cool completely.

Level the tops of the cake layers if they need it. Place parchment paper or waxed paper on a special cake plate. Then put one layer of the cake side down on top of them. Make sure the layer is with the trimmed side down. Use half of the frosting you have on top of the layer and spread it evenly. Then place the second layer on it, and use the rest of the frosting on it and also around. Remove the paper strips you have placed in the beginning and it’s ready to be served! Make sure you store it in the fridge and that you don’t keep it more than 4 days. Well, that is, if nobody eats it until then.

Of course, you can decorate it with whatever you want. It can become even more delicious if you add some fruits on it as decorations. Try using strawberries, bananas or any other fruits you enjoy. The best part about this recipe of easy chocolate cake is that it’s very fast and it uses chocolate, which is a safe bet if you’re hosting a party or a dinner. Enjoy!
